33. The Zenshoji Temple, Kaga

Basho stayed the Zenshoji Temple.  When he was leaving there, young priests requested he write a hike.  Basho composed a hike of gratitude to the willow for its fallen leaves aware.  He would be leaving soon. 

Ni-wa ha-ki-te        (Clean up the garden)

I-de-ba-ya te-ra-ni    (departing from the temple)

Chi ru ya na gi       (the fallen willow leaves.)

gWillow leaves are fallen on the premises of temple. I will clean up the garden to give them thanks.h
