When leaving Senjyu for a long journey, Basho was seen off by his disciple at the foot of SenjyuBridge and then he composed a haiku when leaving.

  yu-ku ha-ru ya        (Ah Spring is ending !)

to-ri na-ki u-o no       (Bird cry, and fishesf)

me wa na-mi-da       (in the eye, a tear)

gBirds cry and fishes are tearful at the time ending spring.h
