During the Genroku era(1688-1703), prosperity reigned and people had no cares.
The flower under the eave of Kashin-an( Kasinfs hermitage) was not a conspicuous one and people of this world did not notice it. The state looks like the mind of a master of this thatched cottage who retired from the world and lived there quietly.

mi-tu-ke-nu-ha-na-ya (do not find the flower)
no-ki-no-ku-ri (of the chestnut under the eave.)
